About Us
Our holiday Parks – Blairgowrie, Lomond Woods, Deeside, Corriefodly and Balgair Castle are owned and managed by ourselves – the Wood Family.
Colin and Margaret Wood purchased Blairgowrie Holiday Park almost thirty years ago and built the business up over the years to finally achieve Visit Scotland “5-star” status in 1990, the same year as the first pine lodges arrived on the holiday park.
Lomond Woods Holiday Park (formerly Tullichewan) was bought in 1994 and was gradually transformed into one of Scotland’s finest parks memorably winning the prestigious Thistle Award for Customer Care as well as Best Park in Scotland in 2001. Corriefodly became part of the group in year 2000 followed by Deeside in 2008 both also improving significantly. 2010 heralded the acquisition of Balgair Castle Holiday Park and the latest challenge for the family.
Colin has spent his entire career in the caravan holiday business and he is delighted to be followed by Rachel, Kirsty and finally Sarah following their university careers. Having spent their childhoods on holiday parks and their formative years “learning the ropes” they are extremely well-equipped to take the business forward and are a motivation and inspiration to the older generation.
The holiday parks each have their own atmosphere and ambience reflecting the beautiful areas of Scotland where each park is located. At each park is a conscientious and friendly team of well-trained personnel all committed to ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable leisure experience for all of our guests. Together we aim to ensure that the business continues in the future to build on its reputation for great customer service, quality and family values.
